Become a PadHer Educator/Mentor

PadHer consists of a team of educators and mentors looking to impact the lives of the girlchild in Africa. We are constantly looking for innovative ways to educate and mentor young African schoolgirls from underserved communities on periods, puberty, and sexual and reproductive health and rights topics while making sanitary pads free and accessible.

Educators/Mentors at PadHer help teach and mentor young schoolgirls about periods, puberty, and sexual and reproductive health and rights topics with the aid of our comic books during our many workshops held at schools in underserved communities across Africa. We are looking for male and/or female educators/mentors from all over Africa, as we believe that a male educator/mentor will also help end period stigma.

At PadHer, we seek to educate, mentor, and equip young schoolgirls on how to effectively manage their periods and build the self-confidence they need to take control of the future and succeed. We may be coming to schools near you to impact the lives of the young schoolgirls in your area, and we will need you to help educate and mentor these young champs.

Do you have a flair for teaching? If so, then you may be what we need.

Do you know about periods, puberty, and sexual and reproductive health and rights topics, or ready to learn to help prepare young schoolgirls to manage their periods and build the self-confidence they need? If yes, please shoot us a mail via educators@padher.org or mentors@padher.org. We will love to hear from you.

In your mail, ensure to tell us where you are located and include your resume and cover letter.

NOTE: This is not a paid position. We are looking for volunteers. If you are accepted as an educator/mentor, you will attend a compulsory masterclass, where you will learn about periods and women’s health. Trust me, this will look good on your resume.
